UCF beats No. 2 BYU in double overtime to end Cougars' unbeaten run
The Knights won 39-31 after stopping BYU on fourth down, recording their first victory over a top-5 opponent.

Unranked UCF handed No. 2 BYU its first defeat of the season, winning 39-31 in double overtime in Orlando. The Knights clinched the homecoming victory when Bear Bachmeier's pass fell incomplete on fourth-and-goal from the UCF 4-yard line.
UCF improved to 4-3 overall and 2-2 in the Big 12, while BYU dropped to 6-1 and 3-1 in conference play. UCF said it was the highest-ranked opponent the program had beaten. Fans rushed onto the field in the rain after the Knights' first win against a top-5 team.
The Knights had missed two late chances to move ahead in regulation. BYU made a stop at the 1-yard line with 1:47 remaining, then blocked Will Stone's 47-yard field-goal attempt with 11 seconds left. An unsportsmanlike-conduct penalty against the Cougars had helped put UCF in position for the kick.
Bachmeier connected with Legend Glasker for a 28-yard touchdown in the first overtime, before Keyone Jenkins answered with a 25-yard scoring pass to Josh Derry. In the second overtime, Jenkins threw a four-yard touchdown pass to Grayson Brousseau. UCF then added a two-point conversion before its defense stopped BYU's final possession.
