Barcelona's Lamine Yamal became the Champions League's highest-scoring teenager on November 3, taking his tally to 14 with a goal against Aston Villa. The 19-year-old had shared the record with Kylian Mbappe, who scored 13 goals in the competition before turning 20.

Yamal put Barcelona ahead after seven minutes at Camp Nou following a mistake in Villa's defense. Goalkeeper Zion Suzuki sent a short pass to Joao Gomes, who was under pressure and passed the ball directly to the Barcelona winger. Yamal then curled his shot into the net.

Since his debut in September 2023, Yamal has recorded 14 goals and 14 assists across 37 Champions League appearances. His strike against Villa was his third in this season's competition, following goals against Feyenoord and Paris Saint-Germain.

He went without a goal in his first Champions League campaign before scoring five in 2024-25, when Barcelona reached the semifinals. He followed that with six in 2025-26, his highest season total in the tournament so far, although Barcelona were eliminated in the quarterfinals.
