Rashee Rice cleared to return as Chiefs prepare for Broncos
Mansoor Delane’s availability remains uncertain after a shoulder injury kept the rookie cornerback out of two practices.

Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice is expected to face the Broncos after a two-game absence caused by injuries to his hamstring and knee. He no longer has an injury designation. After limited participation in Wednesday’s and Thursday’s sessions, Rice practiced fully Friday.
Kansas City could be missing rookie cornerback Mansoor Delane, whose shoulder injury prevented him from practicing Thursday and Friday. Head coach Andy Reid said the problem involved the shoulder Delane hurt earlier in the season and that his progress would be monitored. Delane was drafted No. 6 overall and has registered one interception, three tackles for loss and five passes defensed in 2026.
Two other defenders have questionable designations: cornerback L’Jarius Sneed because of a knee injury and defensive end R Mason Thomas for personal reasons. Defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott, also dealing with a knee injury, will miss the game and remain on injured reserve.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce are expected to play after their knee and ankle injuries, respectively, were removed from the report. Also cleared are offensive tackles Kahlil Benson (ankle) and Jaylon Moore (concussion), center Greed Humphrey (toe), and linebackers Nick Bolton (neck) and Drue Tranquill (elbow).
