Angel Reese said she remained confident Atlanta could win the 2026 WNBA Finals after Golden State beat the Dream 64-55 in Game 5. The Valkyries lead the series 3-2, leaving Atlanta needing a home victory to force Game 7.

Speaking to reporters after the defeat at San Francisco’s Chase Center, the Atlanta forward emphasized defense, toughness and making the most of possessions. She acknowledged the Dream’s shooting difficulties but said she believed the team would make its shots when needed.

Reese finished Game 5 with seven points on 2/8 shooting, alongside 15 rebounds and five assists. Across Atlanta’s last two games, both losses, she scored 15 points on 4-of-20 shooting. That followed an average of 21.7 points on 56.4% shooting over the opening three games.

Game 6 is scheduled for Atlanta’s State Farm Arena. Reese said the Dream would approach the challenge one game at a time as they try to extend the series.
