Saints receiver Jordyn Tyson will remain sidelined through the team's matchup with the Steelers, leaving Week 9 as his earliest opportunity to make his NFL debut. General Manager Mickey Loomis said Tyson would not take part in practices in Paris before the Steelers game.

The first-round selection has been out with a hamstring injury suffered in mid-August. Head coach Kellen Moore has said the injury is separate from the hamstring problems Tyson experienced during his college career.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference, Loomis said the rookie's condition was improving and indicated that a return was getting closer. He did not give a timetable for Tyson to get back on the field.

The Saints' Week 8 bye means Tyson's next possible chance to join the lineup is their home matchup against the Browns in Week 9. His availability for that game remains uncertain.
