Solanke starts and Maddison benched as Tottenham face Crystal Palace
Palace coach Pierre Sage makes eight changes from the EFL Cup win over Fulham, with Jean-Philippe Mateta returning in attack.

Dominic Solanke replaces James Maddison in Tottenham Hotspur’s only starting change for the Premier League meeting with Crystal Palace at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on October 31, 2026. Palace’s announced lineup features eight changes from their EFL Cup victory over Fulham.
Maddison is among the substitutes after leaving the Chelsea match with a groin injury, although Tottenham coach Roberto De Zerbi had said he was fit. Solanke starts alongside Omar Marmoush, Mathys Tel and Mohammed Kudus in attack.
Archie Gray keeps the right-back position ahead of Pedro Porro. Destiny Udogie also remains on the bench after returning from injury, with Andy Robertson retaining his place. Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali continue in midfield.
For Palace, Dean Henderson, Chris Richards and Oscar Mingueza are the only players retained from the side that beat Fulham 1-0. Axel Disasi, Jaydee Canvot and Tyrick Mitchell return, along with midfielders Adam Wharton and Daichi Kamada.
Dwight McNeil, Yeremy Pino and Jean-Philippe Mateta form Palace’s attack. Eddie Nketiah is a substitute despite scoring the decisive goal against Fulham. Nine members of Pierre Sage’s starting side also began the 2-0 league defeat by Newcastle United.
Tottenham are seeking a third consecutive Premier League victory after wins over Coventry City and Chelsea.
