Two Bills players could cross the same career threshold against the Vikings: quarterback Josh Allen enters the matchup with 4,991 rushing yards, while running back James Cook has 4,966. Both are within reach of 5,000.

Allen has averaged 39 yards on the ground per game this season, compared with Cook’s 101. Among active NFL players, Allen holds 14th place for career rushing yardage and Cook sits 15th.

Only four quarterbacks have reached 5,000 rushing yards in NFL history. The leader, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, has 6,666. Michael Vick follows at 6,109, ahead of Cam Newton at 5,628 and Russell Wilson at 5,568. Allen would become the fifth member of that group if he gains the nine yards he needs.

Cook is playing his fifth NFL season and approaching a fourth straight season with at least 1,000 rushing yards. Allen, 30, is pursuing the career milestone alongside his teammate.
