Cutter Gauthier became the first Anaheim Ducks player to score hat tricks in consecutive games, netting three goals as Anaheim won 5-4 at Vancouver. The performance followed his three-goal effort against Ottawa in a 6-3 victory on Nov. 1.

Gauthier told NHL.com's Kevin Woodley that he was surprised none of Anaheim's past stars had achieved the mark. He described the milestone as special but emphasized his satisfaction with the two victories. The Ducks have a 7-7-1 record.

The 22-year-old has scored eight goals across his last three appearances. With 15 points in 14 games, he ranks fourth on the team in points while leading Anaheim in goals. His NHL career total stands at 71 goals, following a one-game debut at the end of the 2023-24 season.

Gauthier scored 41 goals for the Ducks last season and added four in 12 games during his Stanley Cup Playoff debut. Anaheim reached the second round in that postseason appearance, its first since 2018.
