Bayern Munich extend Harry Kane’s contract to June 2029
The agreement is reportedly the club’s most lucrative, putting the England striker ahead of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe in salary.

Harry Kane will remain a Bayern Munich player through June 2029 after signing an extension announced by the club. The 33-year-old, who won the 2026 Ballon d’Or, agreed to stay following protracted negotiations, with his existing deal nearing its final six months.
The Athletic and other outlets reported that the contract sets a Bayern pay record. Those reports place Kane above Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe as Europe’s highest-paid player by salary.
Since his 2023 arrival from Tottenham Hotspur, Kane has recorded 156 goals across 161 Bayern appearances. Speaking to the club’s website, he said he had wanted to stay, that his family was happy in Munich and that he hoped to add more titles with Bayern.
Max Eberl, Bayern’s board member for sport, said retaining Kane gave the club greater certainty when planning its squad. Kane’s targets this season include a third consecutive Bundesliga title and helping Bayern end a Champions League trophy wait stretching back to 2020.
