Brysen Wright, a five-star wide receiver rated No. 12 overall in the 2027 recruiting class by Rivals, has committed to Miami, according to Rivals' Hayes Fawcett. Texas and Florida were the other programs Wright considered before choosing the Hurricanes.

Wright previously held the top ranking among receivers in the 2028 class before opting to move into the 2027 group. Rivals now lists him third among wide receivers in his new class.

His high school career included one season at St. Augustine High School before he moved to the Mandarin Mustangs. Wright also made unofficial visits to programs including Georgia, Ohio State and Florida State.

The commitment comes as Mario Cristobal's undefeated Miami team prepares to face Notre Dame. The Hurricanes hold the top spot in the initial College Football Playoff rankings, following an appearance in the playoff's national championship game.
