The Commanders have left wide receiver Stefon Diggs’ status uncertain for their matchup with the 49ers, listing him as questionable because of a hamstring injury. Eight teammates received the same designation, while head coach Dan Quinn ruled out four others.

Diggs missed the team’s previous game and had limited participation in two days of practice. His production over the opening four games included 18 catches.

Among those questionable, cornerback Trey Amos has an ankle injury, linebacker Jordan Magee has a hamstring injury and running back Jeremy McNichols has a quad injury. Each would require activation before being able to participate in Week 6.

The designation also applies to safeties Percy Butler and Tyler Owens, each dealing with a hamstring injury. Safety Nick Cross and offensive lineman Lucas Patrick are listed with illnesses, while defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw has ankle and knee injuries.

Quinn said the players unavailable for the game are running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt, with a groin injury; linebacker Javontae Jean-Baptiste, with a pectoral injury; quarterback Marcus Mariota, with a knee injury; and defensive end Charles Omenihu, with groin and ankle injuries.
